Terms of Use

Welcome to ThreadMap. ThreadMap is owned and operated by Korka Systems Inc.("Korka Systems", "we", "us", "our"). The following agreement ("Terms of Use") describes the terms on which you are offered access to the ThreadMap service.

This offer is provisional on your agreement to all of the terms and conditions contained herein. Should you choose to decline this agreement, you are prohibited from submitting content to and use of the ThreadMap site.

General Terms

  1. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your screen name.
  2. You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other ThreadMap users.
  3. You may not use the ThreadMap service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  4. You are solely responsible for any content submitted to the site by you.
  5. You will not submit sexually explicit content to ThreadMap.
  6. You must not, in the use of ThreadMap, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
Violation of any of these agreements will result in loss of the ability to submit content to ThreadMap, and may also result in a complete IP ban from the site. While ThreadMap prohibits certain conduct and content on its site, you understand and agree that ThreadMap cannot be held responsible for the content posted on its web site and you nonetheless may be exposed to such materials. You use the ThreadMap service at your own risk.

General Conditions

  1. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the ThreadMap service for any reason, without notice at any time.
  2. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
  3. We reserve the right to remove any snapshot or video for any reason, at any time.
  4. We may amend this Agreement at any time at our sole discretion by updating this page.
  5. We may, but have no obligation to, remove content that we determine in our sole discretion to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable, or if it violates any party's intellectual property, privacy or these Terms of Use.
  6. Pages on other websites which display images hosted on ThreadMap must include a phrase "Powered by www.threadmap.com" directly below the image where 'www.threadmap.com' is a hyperlink to http://www.threadmap.com
  7. You will not use any automatic tools to download content displayed on ThreadMap.
  8. Your ability to submit images or videos will be blocked for repeated violations of terms of use. We reserve the right to make this determination at any time. If you have been blocked, your content might not show up on ThreadMap. You can appeal this decision by contacting us in the 'Contact Us' section of the website.
  9. You acknowledge that ThreadMap shall have no liability in connection with any consequences, including but not limited to legal or criminal, of any actions or failures to act on your part while using the ThreadMap service.


Image and Video Ownership
  1. As a user of ThreadMap, you retain copyright and other intellectual property rights to the content you submit to ThreadMap. (This is only an expression of ThreadMap's intention and we are not offering a legal opinion or legal advice on your specific rights.)
  2. You grant ThreadMap and its affiliates a royalty-free license to use, alter, reproduce and distribute content submitted to the site, as well as use content submitted to the site for commercial purposes. You warrant to ThreadMap that you have the right to grant this license.


Advertisement
  1. Placing an advertisement is a paid service. You will not upload advertising content via standard upload mechanisms as they are described in the 'Upload' navigation link in the navigation menu.
  2. All advertisements must be uploaded via advertisement link ("Place Ad") in the navigation menu. Violating this condition will lead to termination of your service and removal of uploaded media.
  3. No sexually explicit ad content allowed.
  4. You can request your remaining funds to be returned to you. Your request will be processed by our system in 3 business days. Depending on the kind of your initial deposit (credit card/paypal) it may take some time before you will see the funds.


Privacy
  1. The primary subjects in any snapshot or video, defined as those who are the focus of the image (but not incidental background subjects), should be asked for consent prior to submitting a snapshot or video. The primary subjects of a snapshot have a right to request the removal of that image for any reason. To request removal, please us in the 'Contact Us' section of the website. Include a link to the image in question, and it will be investigated. We reserve the right to make the ultimate determination regarding removal.
  2. We may collect information pertaining to the usage of the website and use it for any purpose.


Removal/Abuse Reports
  1. If you feel an image or video is violating any of the Terms of Use, you can report it to us in the 'Contact Us' section of the website. Please include a full link to the image, and a description of why you are reporting it. Abuse reports will remain confidential.


Account Banning
  1. Violations of the Terms and Conditions outlined above may result in temporary or permanent revocation of access to ThreadMap. Efforts to inform users of problems may be attempted prior to banning, but in certain circumstances, access will be removed without warning.
